Change from Domain to WorkGroup in WinXP

Yesterday, Isabel's laptop finally arrived. It runs Vista. While setting up her laptop, I accidentally changed my WinXP from Domain to WorkGroup. When the screensaver kicked in, I was completely locked out (as I don't have any local account available).

Searching the Web and following the advice from this link, I was able to restore my WinXP back to one of the previous restore point using ERD Commander 2007.

There are other functions offered by ERD Commander, but I haven't tried none of them. Here is a YouTube link which shows you how to reset WinXP password.

What you need is to locate another PC with CD writer and an Internet connection, then you need is to download a bootable ERD Commander ISO (I found this is the most time-consuming task after all), burn the ISO into a CD (I used ImgBurn which is a lightweight freeware), and boot up your hosed WinXP PC with this CD.

I will surely keep this bootable CD handy for a long time.
