UI - unemployment insurance

With forewarn from my friend that it is a lengthy and tedious process, I went ahead and started the UI application (https://eapply4ui.edd.ca.gov/) yesterday.

It indeed was a long process (9 steps) to complete the entire application.  There are a lot of yes/no questions, but the most time-consuming part is probably the step which you need to fill in your gross income for the past 18 months.  Although the form only asks for 6 numbers (one for each quarter), but it is based on calendar month, and does not align with the bi-weekly pay-cheque that I received.  Fortunately, there is the hourly rate in the pay-stub and most time were spent on counting how many days/hours are in each quarter.

It took me an hour and half to complete the application (faster than what my friend 8-).  Now, I have officially counted and part of the unemployment rate 8-(.
