1. Open file explorer. Notice the icon of those PDF files (before the default program is assigned for PDF file), Double-clik on the the PDF file.
   
   



2. Select "Select the program from a list" item, then click "OK".
   



3. It will take a few moment for this window to show up. When it does, click "Browse...".
   



4. The "Open With..." window shows up. We will have to find where Sumatra is. By default, Sumatr is installed at "C:\Program Files\Sumatra".
   



5. When Sumatra program is found, select (highlight) the program, then click "OK".
   



6. "SumatraPDF" will then show up in the list.
   



7. Select "SumatraPDF", then click "OK".
   



8. The PDF document will be opened by SumatraPDF.
   
   
   If this is the first time SumatraPDF is run, check "Don't ask me again" box and click "Yes" to associate PDF with SumatraPDF. By doing this, SumatraPDF will be used to open PDF files in the future.



9. Just for comparison, icon of those PDF files was changed to SumatraPDF icon.
