What a Day
What a surprising day. Manager changed hand. Today is the third day that we moved into Cisco's San Jose main campus (which extends my commute almost 3-times). In addition to struggling with unpacking and settling down in the new cubical (btw, is only two-third of the size compare to what I used to have in old Cupertino building), I am also trying to get familiar with the commute route. I arrived in campus about 15 before 11am. After spent some time looking for a spot with some shade, I headed for the building, and I met my direct manager, unexpectedly. We chatted all the way to the office. <<< busy day in unpacking, I am so closed to get it done ...>>> In around 4:30pm, I was called into my manager's office (with another co-worker) and was told that some re-org is happening and my manger was selected to manage another group. Which means both of us will be transferred to another group. Surprise, surprise, surprise. Still cannot believe, such change occurs without any early rumor and just happened. |
